It's not easy to find the lost Subject Y0XT39. No, it's not easy at all. The thread that connected their Quintessences had been cut by the Red Paladin, and so, he can't use it now. Never again.

But she can seek it out, nevertheless. She knows his Quintessence. She can seek him out like she would any other living creature that she's ever met.

Which is simply just utterly wrong. She shouldn't have to seek him out like that. Not when she's the one who made him and all the other hims. And now, seeking it out as if it was a thing wholly independant of her? How frustrating was that?

Finally, she finds him. That is, not quite. There's a giant robot. Inside the giant robot, there's the White Lion. And--- it? But, no, where is it?

*************
Hiroki wakes up early in the morning. White is worried, Atlas is worried, and Hiroki has no idea why. He gets up slowly and leaves as if he's just going on a walk, not wishing to cause alarm.

He tries to think calm thoughts. Again, not wishing to cause alarm. For obvious reasons. No need to worry his-- his-- hopefully future husband. Wife.

Hiroki blushes. The affection temporarily shoves all the concerns away, so he really goes out just like he's going out on a crisp morning walk. Which he often does, anyway. Just maybe just a tiny bit later than right now.

He walks around Nexus a bit, before finally doing what he means to do, truly - going straight to where Atlas is. Stopping far enough that he's not absorbed into Atlas.

My Ziggy'd be frantic. So, not today. Not today.

And there, he sees her. Just standing there. Honerva.

The Black Bayard materialises in his hand instantly, and for a tick, he fears that just as instantly, it'll disappear, called back to the more rightful owner. But the Bayard stays; it doesn't disappear.

Thank you, Keith, Hiroki thinks, grinning. Letting him borrow, huh? Just like that.

Thanks.

He changes his Bayard into a longsword and swings hit at Honerva, who, of quiznaking course, disappears. Yes, he knew she'd do that. Still frustrating, nevertheless!

Haggar's voice echoes as she asks, without reappearing, "Subject Y0XT39, have you ever heard of Narti?"

Hiroki Shirogane kept looking around, trying to find her, even if he knows he'd be better equipped for that as part of Atlas, in order to truly find her.

*********
"Subject Y0XT39, have you ever heard of Narti?"

It continued to look around for Honerva like a lost child. With no possible skill to find her.

"Yes, I've heard of her," it said. "Acxa mentioned her, aboard Atlas, once. One day, Lotor's suddenly murdered Narti. For no reason! It was the cruelest thing."

"No reason? My son had simply cut the connection. He didn't want me to see him."

"You can possess a psychic??" it asked, terrified.

"Actually," Honerva said, "the way my magic and alchemy work, psychics are easiest to possess."

She's telling the truth, and it knows that it is so. If any of her Druids ever had thoughts she didn't like, Honerva quickly made sure such a Druid didn't have such thoughts.

It remembers that, well.

She's telling the truth and it knows it, surely.

"I... I see," it, that almost random if not for luck Subject, says.

"And so, today I've only come to tell me you're unnecessary, and we'll never meet each other again, fortunately for us both."

"Alright... good..."

"Because," Honerva continued, "I've already found a much better weapon, even if it needs some reforging, first."

It stared at Honerva, and attacked blindly, flailing around, even though Honerva's still hasn't shown herself to it, again. She smirked. Yes, this has all worked, just as she knew it would.

Just give it a moment.

"Please," it said, finally, "take me, instead."

"If you insist. I suppose I can agree, if you beg me."

"But-- on a condition that you'll never approach Ziggy, Honerva. Ever."

"I won't approach Ziggy Stardust."

"Fine."

"That's not begging."

It hesitated for a few doboshes, then knelt.

"How long will I be your slave?" it asked.

"Only a few deca-phoebs, I have no need for more. I'll leave you afterwards."

"Great," it said, sarcastically. "But then, you'll let me go and live the rest of my life freely?"
When did it learn sarcasm? Nevermind.

"I still don't hear begging," Honerva stated. "And yes, Subject Y0XT39, you'll be your own thing afterwards. I can give an oath when it comes to that."

"And first one about Ziggy."

"And about Ziggy, indeed."

"Start with that, witch."

Rude. Where did it learn such rudeness? From the Red Paladins, surely. Anyway, then, she had.

So then, it begged, just as she had asked, just as she has known it would. She knew her Subjects well.
